How does care at Kalúmia work?

Take a quiz analysis to determine if you are eligible.Choose an area you’d like to address based on concerns: Weight Loss, Sleep Wellness, Hormone Care or Skin. Don't worry if you don't know, your provider will determine what treatment(s) are best for you based on symptoms and goals.Pick your visitVirtual Visits: includes a visit for 20 minutes, personalized care plan, plus 30 days of follow-up care, so you have time to ask questions, share updates, and make adjustments when appropriate. Message: Complete your Health analysis if eligible create your account and complete your intake forms. Your provider will message you and will discuss your concerns, needs and plan. We include 30 days of follow-up care.We are not your traditional telehealth focused practice generic quick script. Patients come to us when they want real change and guidance towards longevity but still have convenient visit options with real personalized care. Your Nurse Practitioner is your dedicated concierge provider who focuses on a small panel of patients at a time for both virtual and message patients, with the goal to help you succeed.

What does the 30 days of follow-up care include?

Your visit doesn’t end when the appointment does. For the next 30 days, you can communicate with your provider about questions, treatment concerns, medication tolerance, progress, or other issues related to the condition addressed during your visit. We want you to understand your plan and feel supported while putting it into action.

Is Kalúmia my primary care provider?

No, we are not. Kalúmia provides focused care within our Metabolic & Weight Health, Sleep Wellness, and Skin Health services. We recommend maintaining a primary care provider for management of chronic conditions that requires ongoing medication management and acute medical concerns.

What happens if my condition needs a higher level of care?

Your safety comes first. If your symptoms or medical history fall outside the type of focused care we provide, we’ll let you know and recommend that you seek care from your primary care provider, a specialist, urgent care, emergency services, or another appropriate level of care.

Do I need a membership or subscription?

We offer both monthly single visits and monthly visits for  who needs ongoing care.  monthly concierge memberships are not required. We provide care for 30 days and can continue each 30 day cycle as you need it.

Will I see the same provider each time?

Yes. We believe continuity matters. You’ll work with the same provider for your visits and ongoing care, so you aren’t starting over with someone new every time.

Do you accept health insurance?

Kalúmia is currently self-pay. This allows us to keep care simple, concierge and transparent without requiring prior auths, copays and denials from insurance. HSA/FSA cards acceptedMost insurance companies do not approve medical weight loss medications without a full 6-9 month dieting program. Medications, labs, pharmacy charges, and outside services are separate

Can I address more than one health concern during my visit?

Yes, to keep your care focused and thorough, each visit is dedicated up to 2 care area: Weight Loss, Sleep Health, Menopause Health and Skin care. If you need help in another area, or your care is complex, your provider may require you to schedule a separate virtual visit or pay an extra visit fee of $50. Due to no insurance required, we can see patients for multiple concerns within one visit.
